PPF Partnership with Betting Operators to Fund Education11 February 2010
The Professional Players federation has concluded a significant funding agreement with Betfair, Ladbrokes, bet 365 and the Remote Gambling Association.
The three year deal between PPF and sections of the betting industry will enable the PPF to promote player education and capacity building for the member player associations.

The Remote Gambling Association (RGA) published on Wednesday, 27th January an independent report into the impact of betting on sport, notably from a commercial and integrity perspective within the European Union.

The Remote Gambling Association (RGA) has announced that it will consider mounting a legal challenge if the French gambling bill is passed in its current form. The RGA has become increasingly concerned after the Assemblée nationale approved a bill in October 2009 which effectively discriminates against private sector operators, most notably in the area of sports betting.

At its Annual General Meeting in London today the Remote Gambling Association announced the findings of a study undertaken on its behalf by the independent consultancy, Europe Economics. It estimated that3.4bn is contributed annually to EU sport by public and private sector gambling operators combined and that 62% of that amount is contributed by private sector
